Boracay - The Family's first time 2012 (Day 2)

Our Day 2 in Boracay was already sunny.  The Family woke up early and enjoyed
the sunrise swimming at the beach.

After 3 hours of swimming, we had our buffet breakfast at the Boracay Regency.
The buffet breakfast costs 500PHP per adult and half the price for 6 yrs old and below.

A morning stroll...

Since Mr. Sun is already up, my son and husband enjoyed the rest of  the
morning in the Astoria's swimming pool.

Bout me?  After the plunge, I went to d' Talipapa to buy some souvenirs and
pasalubong.  Just rode a tricycle for 10PHP.  While on the road, I took some
photos of the Main Road.

These are all my shopping haul...

I did not attempt to tire myself that much in terms of price haggling as their prices
for the shirts and other souvenirs are regulated.  They can give discounts only in
some stuff like on weaved bags, sarongs and decors.

After spending 2 hours for the shopping, The Family had an early meryenda at
Jonah's Fruit Shake and Snackbar at the main road of Station 1.  For some,
craving for Jonah's fruit shake maybe just a hype but for me, it was really great.

I ordered Banana Chocolate Peanut shake, Mango Banana for my son and Mango
Vanilla for my husband.  We also had a taste of their pizza.

The rest of the afternoon until sunset was spent in Puka Beach. It was a 4KM
from station 1 and around 25 minutes travel via tricycle which we hired for 150PHP.

I was truly amazed of this long stretch of shore - lesser people, quiet scenery,
and peaceful crystal clear water that form a perfect tropical island.

As what they say, this was named after the Puka shells which are abundant on this
place.  A line of stalls on the entrance are selling different merchandise made of
puka shells - bracelets, anklets, necklaces, house decors and lots of other souvenirs.

My son again enjoyed the making of sand castles.

Enjoyed the sunset swimming and photo ops.

The 3 hours swimming at Puka Beach had relaxed my body and mind.

The Family had its dinner at Gerry's Grill - Kilawin, Pork BBQ, Sisig,
Beef Bulalo and grilled Plapla.  Spent around 2,000PHP for 5 adults and 1 kid.

The street is now full of party goers and bar hoppers dressed on their party and
wildest/sexiest dress code.

I had my hair braided first for 150PHP (half braid is 150PHP while full braid costs
300PHP).

And now its time for watching the fire dancers.  Lucky us, there are plenty of fire
dancers near our hotel.

It was really a long day for The Family that we went early to bed.

The following day is bidding farewell to this one paradise and beautiful island of
Boracay.  That is why The Family has to wake up early for another swimming
at the beach.
