I won a beautiful necklace...

What a great Tuesday morning when I received a mail notification that I have a
parcel to claim in our town's post office.

Wondering what it could be, I was surprised to receive the beautiful necklace
that  I won from http://lauralilarson.blogspot.com/2011/03/friday-giveaway.html)
blog give-away contest last March.

I love the design and color combinations of the beads and pendant.  I will surely
wear this when I go to Boracay soon.
Thanks to Ms. Laura Larson for this great stuff.

Getting ready for my son's school opening

Just got my son's books and school supplies from the school and here they are:

1. Nine(9) books  consist of Language, Mathematics, Science, Computer, Filipino,
Civics & Culture, Reading, MAPEH  and Values. As noticed, some of their books
especially on major subjects are for Grade 1 level. My son is an incoming Prep.
2. He got 7 notebooks + the Reminder notebook.
3. It also comes with a school bag, snack bag, and other school supplies.
Since the school provides the school supplies, I miss the rush of buying school
supplies for my son as what other mommies enjoy to do with their kids.

His school uniforms are already prepared.  I bought him four(4) pairs + a set
of PE uniform for their Friday's PE.

With their class to start on June 14, everything is all set.  My son is already
excited to go back to school.  And knowing that his teacher in Kinder 1 will
also be his teacher in Prep this school year,  this makes him more excited.

A Father's Day Bonding Get Away in the City

The Family together with my parents and 2 sisters are staying in one of the hotels
here in Ortigas.  It is actually  a homey feeling away from home.  Its all dining,
watching DVDs, swimming and malling together for 3 days.

Although its quite expensive but occasion like this is worth remembering.  This is
actually our gift to my father and to my husband this Father's Day.

Its good that the 1-bedroom suite we got has a complete kitchen service that
allows us to cook our fave food.  We also ordered the juicy KFC fried chicken
for a delivery.  My son loves it very much. The three sisters had a taste of the
Secret Recipe during shopping @ SM Mega Mall. A lot of Korean restos are
just near by the hotel.  If not for the strong rain, we should have satisfied our
craving for one.  Lucky us, my mom brought some of their koren instant noodles
and presto, we just had one.

And as of this writing, we just got home from our Father's Day celebration
dinner @ Orchard Road in SM Mega Mall.  After having a taste of singapore
food just last January, we miss the savory and the quite spicy and hot food
offerings which led us to eat @ Orchard Road.

With 2 straight days now of non-stop raining, my son misses the pool.  I just
hope that he can swim before we check-out tomorrow.

Overall, The Family was able to have a great time of rest and sleep most
of the time.  This is what we can't get enough of when we are at our house
due to household chores that I cannot escape.  At least here, its all away
from worries even for just 3 days.

Again, Happy Father's Day to my Papa and Husband who are both great
providers and whose number 1 priority is their families.

And to my Husband, our son may not yet realize the importance of
you being his father but I promise that he'll be thankful to you at least in
his lifetime.

What a wonderful day - June 12

Today is June 12 and its my son's 5th birthday.  The Family woke up as early as
6AM and we are very thankful for the beautiful sunny day.  We greeted our son
and he is very happy not knowing yet what are in store for him today on his
party.

Yes, my son has grown so fast.  And @5 yrs old he has accomplished great
things and we are very proud of him.

We just pray for his continues good health and all good things may come his
way. And not just a year older but also a year better especially on his schooling
and values.

In a few minutes, we'll be preparing for the party.  I know my son will be
amazed to see our surprise Transformers + Jollibee Town birthday party for
him.

Thank you Lord for this wonderful day!!!

My new baby Body Bag

This chic Mango body bag had been with me every weekends' walk for more than
1.5 years. I bought this last December 2009 which was my birthday gift to my self.
I love its 2-compartments style, its shiny dark chocolate color and its shape and
size is just enough to contain my kikay stuff and gadgets.

It has gone places too.  Its very functional that it allowed me to carry just anything
with my two hands while all my money, gadgets and make-up were safe on this
body bag. It saved me the worrying part of ensuring that my bag is with me all
the time.

And if not for its faded color and its worn-out synthetic leather, I will not replace
my baby. It just made me look cool with anything I wore with this body bag.
Needless to say, it  already paid up for its value. Good bye my all-time fave
body bag.

After being a mall rat in looking for my new baby, I found this black and quite
stylish body bag from Esprit.

Black is great since it matches all colors.  I love the front and its base design
which allows me to fit in all my stuff and gadgets + a little more space left. Its
made of synthetic leather. Lucky me, I bought this with a little discount.

Just hope that my new baby can bear with me in all my walks...

Lovin' my new hair style...

After 6 long years of having my hair rebonded yearly, I finally decided to have it
cut for a change.

My son got mad at me and wanted my long hair back. My husband was two
thumbs-up, my friends and colleagues told me that I look 10 years younger and
just look great. OMG!!!

Whatever I look like, I just feel nice with my new hairstyle. Lesser shampoo and
conditioner, I feel lighter, lesser time in blow dry and for a busy mom like me, I can
now go with an instant wash and wear.

What's special with June?

Its my son's birthday in June and he'll be turning 5 come June 12.  It is also our
Philippines Independence Day.  Lucky us if the holiday falls on weekdays, The
Family can spend the whole day with the birthday boy or another extra day on
top of the weekends.

It also signals the start of the school year.  Malls and markets are jam-packed with
people buying school stuff for their kids. While some are still busy with the
school enrollment.

June officially ends the summer and its days are usually gloomy.  Most often than
not, it is raining.  Good time for kids to just stay in the house and prepare for at
least 2 weeks before the class starts.

And June is reminding us that the first half of the year is coming to its end.  For
me, a need to assess personal and family goals if can still be met as planned.
A time to re-visit  our financial statement would help.
