Tagaytay - Great weekend @Taal Vista Hotel

This is The Family's first time to stay in a hotel in Tagaytay and
surprisingly, we were amazed of the amenities and accommodation
Taal Vista Hotel has to offer.

From its elegant lobby, restaurant, big function rooms, its
spacious and clean rooms, nice staff, buffet food, swimming
pool, its kids gym & the wide and green surrounding - we really love it.

And the best place where you can have a great panoramic view
of the wide and serene Taal Volcano and Lake.

The photos showed how The Family enjoyed its stay in Taal Vista Hotel.

You've got to do a lot of walking from the room's lake wing to the lobby.
Good way to chill out and exercise...

The Casino Filipino Tagaytay view from the hotel's glass window.

Riding the golf cart going to the kids' gym at the other side building.

My son is too old for this play area.  Nevertheless, he enjoyed warming-up.

And after a tiring day's tour, a dinner at the Lobby Lounge. Inasal chicken for 290PHP.

And for our lunch buffet for 699PHP per person.
I love the sinigang na bulalo.

Paella and steamed fish.

The fruits of Tagaytay City.  The senorita and the sweet pineapple.

Love that carrot cake.

We availed of the Deluxe(3,000PHP) & Premier(3,700PHP) rooms
for its 50% promo through the FB of SM Advantage.

Our Deluxe room....

Our Premiere room with veranda over looking Taal Volcano and Lake.

This was really enjoying the best for less. The Family will surely stay again
on this place when it comes back in Tagaytay.

Tagaytay - Chilling out @Bag of Beans

This is just one great place that you shouldn't miss when you go to
Tagaytay City - Bag of Beans.

From buffet breakfast, lunch to dinner, from their outdoor & indoor tables,
they have the sumptuous menu that would wet your lips. Their pastries and
pies - you surely can't get enough as great pasalubong .

The ambiance of this place, the trees surrounding the dining area
and the coldness that keep people coming back even for a cup of
coffee for chilling out.

One of the best seller pairs - my  Caramel Macchiato(105PHP) and
Blueberry Cheese Cake(145PHP).

We also tried their Strawberry Cheese Cake(145PHP) and the
Carrot Loaf(185PHP).

Since I just can't get enough, we went back to buy pastries, brewed coffee
and pie for our take-home.

Tagaytay - The Serene Taal Volcano & Lake @Picnic Grove

After almost 6 years, it was the long weekend of August 19 amidst the
on and off rain which paved the way for The Family to visit Tagaytay City.

First destination was the Picnic Grove to see the breathtaking, wide and
serene scenery of the Taal Volcano & Lake.

At the view deck looking at the volcano up close.

It was my son's first time here.  He enjoyed the morning board walk
as well as the hanging bridge for an Eco-adventure Trail experience.

Walking on the Eco-Trail gives you a great view of those riding
on the zip line.

Despite the gloomy weather, people from everywhere enjoyed their
food over-seeing the lake, kids flying their kites, lovers sitting down
on the green grass, and some are enjoying the lush scenery while
on the 250-meter Tagaytay Ridge Zipline or in the 5-minute cable
car rides.

Surely, The Family will come back to this place once my son is ready
to try the zip line and the horse-back riding.

After an awesome view of the Taal Volcano & Lake, we had our
packed lunch eaten inside our car and headed to Bag of Beans
for their famous house coffee and blue berry cheese cake.

Clark Field, Pampanga - Another great weekend(July 14)

After a tiring experience of golf goal setting at Marina Hills, we had my father's
birthday celebration at The Red Crab for a crab lunch.

Not like its branches in Manila, I liked the homey ambiance which reminded
us of our old big house in Zambales.

And of course, my son who enjoyed his swimming despite the rain.

2012 National Poomsae Taekwondo Championship

Congratulations to my son Marty for garnering the 3rd place in the
2012 National Poomsae Taekwondo Championship Toddler Category
for blue belters held at Ninoy Aquino Stadium last July 22, 2012.

This was his first competition - competed in the Toddler category for
blue belters demonstrating Taeguk 3.

The stadium was jam-packed by TKD players from all over the Philippines.
It was our first time to this place and to attend to this national competition
so my attention was all with my son. And it would be hard to be looking for
someone since all kids were all in their TKD uniform. So all parents had their
all eyes on their kids.

As parents, we just wanted Marty to experience and make him see how
other kids perform and enjoy their TKD which could somehow inspire
him to do more and do his best.  But we were surprised for what he has
shown the judges on his demo.  Ignoring all distractions and as the first one
to perform, he went to the court, listened to the instructions and performed well.

When his name was announced as the third placer, Marty jumped
in joy and I was just one proud mama with teary eyes.
