It was a very relaxing and refreshing experience and a close encounter with
nature - the white sand shore, clear beach, mountain view, the green
surrounding plus the old and giant trees that give a perfect coolness in the midst
of the summer's high temperature.
One of the beautiful sunsets I witnessed.
Of course, not discounting our beautiful and clean accommodation. Our room
was a WOW - clean, spacious, comfortable bed with lots of pillows and an
extra bed with pull-out in the side. Each room has a terrace with a good view
of the beach and the pool. It has a mini-ref and bar. Though without an
electric kettle, you can request for a hot water anytime and will be delivered
to you. Despite food is not allowed as stated on its website, we were able to
bring food and drinks. When I asked if food is not allowed, they just answered
that they don't encourage bringing in.
The food in La Marea offers a generous serving of everything. My son loved
the laing, the sinigang na lechon sa kawali and the gambas. The buffet
breakfast menu can be compared to some 4-star hotels' buffet breakfast here
in Manila.
The Family had a dinner outside of La Marea...
Had a taste of the buffet breakfast...
A lot of amenities to keep the guests feel close to home - basketball, tennis
court, volleyball, gym, kids playground, hanging bridge. We tried to swim
on the 2 swimming pools available for the guests. They have another pool
exclusive for club members only.
Overall, this is one of the great resort experiences The Family had next to
Boracay. I got our room for 6,200PHP inclusive of buffet breakfast for 2
plus all the ameneties. The Husband can't get over our stay there to the
extent that he asked me if we can go back to that place.
