Marina Hills Golf & Country Club - Golf Goal Setting Weekend (07142012)

Thank God! It was one sunny day morning of July 14 when we set foot to
Marina Hills Golf & Country Club @ MacArthur Highway, Mamatitang,
Mabalacat, Pampanga  for a Golf Goal Setting weekend.

It was my brother who invited my son to try golf.

Trying  golf swing & goal setting in the driving range.

My son also tried to ride a Golf cart and went around. After the game, you
can have a good meal in the restaurant and bar.

With a wide and greeny scenery coupled with fresh and cold air, Marina Hills
is the right place if you want to play for fun, or if you are new to this sport.

How to get there:  This club is open to public. It is only around 5 kilometers
from Angeles City and 93 kilometers from Manila via private or
public transportation.

Taekwondo: My son's TKD Promotion to Low Blue Belt

Marty on his new low blue belt.  Promotion went well last May 26, 2012
at Ateneo de Manila.

It was almost half a day of waiting for Marty's turn to start.  Kids from
different summer TKD sessions came to town  for this promotion.

Astoria Plaza Suite, Ortigas - A Father's Day Plunge

It was our 2nd year of celebrating Father's Day @Astoria Plaza Suite
last June 15-17.

What we love here is the homey and relaxed feeling of just staying in the hotel
with the full-serviced amenities - kid and a lap pool, gym, SPA services and
free shuttle going to nearby commercial hubs.

Father and Son had a taste of their buffet breakfast for a buy 1 take 1 offer
of PHP400++.

And what my son really enjoyed - a plunge on the kiddie pool where he
overcame his fear of dipping into the water.  This was so memorable to him
because he got the confidence to float by himself.

Maybe by next summer, I will enroll him to swimming class.

Our 1-bedroom accommodation...

Excited for Grade 1 (SY 2012-2013)

June 18, 2012 - Back to School...

After more than 2 months of school and summer vacation, my son is more
than excited to be back to school - meet new classmates, reconnect with
old friends,  meet new teachers and face new challenges.

As promised, he kept his favorite toys in our attic to give way to his studies.

He very well knows his priorities - do assignments and review on school days
and Saturday, and Sunday will be a free day.

Having no housemaid, this is again the start of  max. of 5 hours sleep everyday
which means sleeping by 11PM and waking-up at 4AM to prepare for breakfast,
meryenda and lunch of my son.

Good luck son in your new endeavor.  Enjoy your schooling and Taekwondo.
Mama and Papa are always here to support you for whatever your heart
desires.

Hongkong - Disneyland Resort for the 2nd time (Apr 7, 2012)

Finally, my very late and last but The Family's  most memorable experience
in Hongkong....

Memories that will surely last for a lifetime - our magical and amazing
2nd visit in Hongkong Disneyland Resort last Holy Week.

Unlike our 1st time visit which was under a tour-guided half-day experience,
this time every minute was maximized and enjoyed. We went there on our
own via MTR from our hotel in Mongkok and arrived just in time for the
opening of the park.

With the park's map, we were able to plan our visit to the different
parks but we actually experienced just 75% of the rides and shows.
I think, you really need 2 days to completely enjoy the resort.

For sure there will always be a next time for The Family especially
that my son enjoyed the addition of the Toy Story park.  The Family
will save also for an experience in one of the resort's hotels where
we can dine and have a photo-op with the Disneyland Characters.

Here are some of The Family's greatest memories of Disneyland.

Dreamland Resort, Zabarte - A Taekwondo Swimming Party

As the culminating activity in my son's Taekwondo Summer Program,
the MSA Whizkids TKD Team had their last taste of summer
@ Dreamland Resort, Zabarte for a swimming party.

Kids were surprised for the last-minute instruction from their coach
that they have to bring their dobok for the training before the
swimming party proper.

This is The Family's first time @ Dreamland Resort and was very
surprised of this huge venue. It has hotel rooms and tree-top type
accommodations for overnight stay which cost around 3K.

It has 3 large pools and 1 kiddie pool. Upon entering the resort, you
will be welcomed by the Olympic-size pool with net top covering.
The kiddie pool with a little bridge shower is located in the middle
of the resort with a number of cottages on its side.  There are still
two pools at the back but we have not tried to plunge there.

Aside from the pools, it has a wide and green scenery and spacious
open club house where the team had their TKD training.

Has clean comfort rooms,  drinks on sale,  and you can broil and
cook in the cottage or have your food delivered from your favorite
food chains.

It was really one great party place for all type of occasions.
And because of its proximity from our place, we'll surely come
back to this place.

Still, a lot of improvement can be done by the owner to make
this resort a competitive one.

Address:Dreamland Resort, Zabarte Rd. Quezon City.

Swimming for Walk-in guests:
Entrance fee - 180 for adult; 150 for children
Cottage use - 800
Bringing of foods allowed (with corkage fee for liquor and softdrinks)
Free and large parking area
